1) Motion – University of Bristol COVID-19 Institutional Response
Monday’s Emergency General Meeting saw Bristol UCU members pass the above motion almost unanimously.
Yesterday, at our Joint Consultation and Negotiating Committee, Branch Negotiators presented our motion to University management and our demands as regards in-person, face-to-face teaching.
Branch President James Thompson is writing to University Senior Management asking for a formal response to points a, b and c as per the terms of the motion.

2) COVID-19 UCU Special Higher Education Sector Conference Today
Our five Bristol UCU branch delegates are attending a Special Higher Education Sector Conference [link] today, called by UCU ‘to debate and direct the union’s response to the attack on jobs, pay and conditions resulting from the response of employers to the Covid-19 pandemic’
