3. Demilitarise Universities: Exploring the Impact of Militarisation in University Education and Solidarity with Palestine Wednesday 27th November 2024 16:00 – 18:00
This is a University of Bristol event, exclusively for Bristol University staff and students.
This event and panel discussion will shed light on the growing militarisation within universities and its connection to the broader struggles for justice, with a special focus on the Palestinian cause. The event is supported by University of Bristol branches of UCU, UNITE and UNISON unions.
Speakers include Dr. Eldin Fahmy (Senior Lecturer, School for Policy Studies), Carmen Wilson (Director of Operations, Demilitarise Education), Dr. Chris Rossdale (Senior Lecturer in Politics & International Relations), Dr. Oscar Berglund (Bristol UCU Co-Vice President), and Faisa Mahamud (BSc Physics, 2023).
