Bristol UCU and UCU four nations wide will be on strike Wednesday, 1st February, the first of 18 days of strike action in February and March 2022. UCU members are not at work next Wednesday.
Further strike days have been announced on 9th, 10th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 27th and 28th February. Strike days in March are 1st, 2nd, 16th, 17th, 20th, 21st and 22nd.
Wednesday next week is a Bristol joint union ‘Day of Action’. University, school, railway and civil service staff are all on strike.
Wednesday, 1st February Bristol UCU Schedule:
- Picket Lines from 08:30am. Picket Line Supervisors to pick up strike materials from UCU Office (1D Priory Road) from 07:30am.
- Picket lines/members to assemble at 10:30am outside Victoria Rooms.
- March to College Green ~ 10:45am.
- Bristol TUC joint union (UCU, NEU, ASLEF, PCS, RMT) Demo/Rally/March at College Green from 11:00am.
