Local Hardship Fund – 2 Extra Days
Our Local Hardship Fund terms and conditions have been updated for the MAB dispute. Subject to confirmation by our branch Executive Committee, MAB-ing staff will be able to claim an extra 2 days from the Fund, with hourly-paid staff able to claim for 14 hours for any marking that they do not carry out before the conclusion of their contract.
To boost the Local Hardship Fund, and in light of the national Fighting Fund prioritizing members facing 100% pay deductions, our branch Pledge Scheme, and donations to the Fund, are crucial to boosting branch finances to cover potentially more MAB-ing members, for example, those above Grade J.

Remember: if you are asked about a specific assessment task/batch of marking in the period before marks/feedback are due for release, you should answer:
The Bristol branch of the UCU’s advice is that Bristol UCU members are under no duty to report their boycotting unless directly asked about a specific marking and assessment duty or task not being undertaken at the time.
As the marks/feedback for this duty is not yet released, and I am under no obligation as is to have completed this duty before the date on which it is due, I cannot answer this question until after the date of release.
